Caden Scates is pursuing a Master’s degree in International Security, along with a certificate in Strategic Intelligence, at the Josef Korbel School of Global and Public Affairs at the University of Denver. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs with a minor in Business from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Born in Southeast Asia, raised in the United States, and having spent considerable time in Europe, Caden’s professional experience includes Salesforce consulting, data analytics, operations, and public policy. His primary academic and career interests lie at the intersection of homeland defense and intelligence, with a strong focus on emerging security challenges, including climate security, A.I., technological competition, and U.S.-Asia relations. Beyond this, Caden enjoys snowboarding, trying new foods, and watching both poorly rated and critically acclaimed films.
