Anna Kubas

Anna Kubas is a master's student at the Josef Korbel School of Global and Public Affairs at the University of Denver. Her areas of focus are post-Soviet geopolitics and sociology and Russian Arctic strategy. She has lived and worked in both Eastern Europe and Central Asia to gain firsthand cultural and historical understanding while developing her Russian language skills. She is passionate about furthering human security in post-Soviet states and worked as a former OSINT intern with the Center for Information Resilience, collecting intelligence on war crimes committed during the Russo-Ukrainian War. In her free time, she loves distance running in the mountains, baking, and brewing her homemade kombucha. Anna will receive her master's degree in International Security and Strategic Intelligence in summer 2026.
